Lewis Ray Cammarata - guitar, slide guitar, baritone guitar, vocals

I don't ask for much in this world; good deli, an understanding wife, the occasional glimmer of integrity from my fellow humans, and a
guitar that stays in tune. So imagine my astonishment when I find myself, after 20 years of being persona-absentia from the music
scene, confronted with an offer to play a headlining gig at one of Phoenix's more revered clubs; The Rhythm Room. Having been
asked on the basis of my self-produced, one-man-band output on Funzalo Records, I agreed minus the consideration that I had no
band.

It's comforting to come to the realization that one has friends; talented ones, that not only ride to the rescue, but are also the most
inventive, adventurous, and considerate people that ever boarded a white horse. By the time the first days' rehearsal was done, it
was apparent that Lou, Mickey and I had no intention of letting this opportunity sit in the realm of a one-night foisting of my "stuff"
upon the public psyche... The 'guys' wanted to move on, build a repertoire as adventurous as our collective talents could conceive,
and make this thing into a band. So we forged ahead. When they brought Mike over, it became more than obvious that we'd be
fucking idiots to not welcome him into the fold. He increased the level of talent exponentially. His youthful tenacity (thank you Richard
Cromelin) infected  the rest of us like the ebola virus. It's been "off to the races" ever since.

I've played in lots of bands... Some very good and moderately successful ones, and some quite pedestrian ones. And after such a
long time away from it, it's an almost numbing surprise that I find myself in this present musical universe. I get to write for guys who
"hear" what I want, posses the abilities to imbue it with their own personal musical mutations, and, from the mix, produce far more
than the sum of its parts. Plus... I get the freedom to play guitar in ways I'd never envisioned.

So, maybe my little section here isn't exactly the biographical ditty usually associated with band web sites. It's OK with me... If you
really have a "jones" for that you can always click under my photo, and you'll get to my own personal little musical meme. But for the
time being just consider that I'm a happy guy that finally (and to his considerable bemusement) has found a musical family. In a weird
way I'm no longer searching for a musical identity, no longer a lost soul. But for the sake of this group of misfits I truly am a

meet The Lost Souls
... born in January of 2010

"like the dust devils that seem to appear out of nothing more than the chance meeting of a wayward desert wind and a few
yards of time worn sand, The Lost Souls came together in a similar fit of mystical mayhem"

Everyone is a visitor from a timeworn past, hauling into the mix some pretty unusual musical baggage. The music stings
like an unholy amalgam of gutter blues, late night innuendo, and spaghetti western mastications... It ain't yo' mama's music;
but it rolls, and it rocks, it sways, and it wanders. And it somehow always snakes its way back to your soul, leaving you
with the hollow certainty that somehow, someway, these guys got the musical drop on you.

Desert music??? Maybe, maybe not. A rattlesnake's ass shakin' in the bushes is more like it. Four guys who are convinced
that every action, every note delivered, every sliver of sonic bedlam, should elicit one response and one response only...
That we are all teetering on the edge of  barely controlled chaos. And what better way to soothe your savage, childish beast
than with the grace of music that tosses you mercilessly from heaven to hell... And back!
This is the sorta "freebie" section where you can read about band members. Normally this would be mostly personal bio stuff; musical background,
accomplishments, groupies, whatever! That each member has chosen what to write about, we believe stresses our collective belief that, maybe Anarchy is not the
answer, but sometimes it's best not to be told what to do.
