Lewis Ray Cammarata
    "Late Night Innuendo"
"Slip and slide along the wild and wily blues highway with talented
guitarist Lewis Ray Cammarata. Fun, fast, and at times furious, his
playing's up and down the blues-music map, nodding in the direction
of Ry Cooder as well as surf maestro Dick Dale, Tom Waits, and even
moody soundtrack man Ennio Morricone."

What Lewis has to say

So... 40 years of playing guitar and this is what it comes down to huh???  A
piddly-assed little page of recollections, anecdotes, and song samples.

Well, it's about the best I can do, and if you're actually interested just start clicking
buttons and looking around. I'll try very hard to keep the techno-talk crap to a minimum,
but most guitarists do like looking at the musical equivalent of porno, so expect a few
guitar pictures. Also expect some inane personal recollections of my lamentably
"oh-so-very-forgetable" brushes with near greatness. As father time and I get along
about as well as Burt Reynolds, and that band of oxycotin ravaged banjo boys from
Deliverance, I had originally intended that no photos more recent than 10 years old
would appear in these pages. Alas, my hand has since been forced in the interest of
abject consumerism, and photos ye shall have (go to the bio page if you must).

So take what you will from this mess. But please leave me my dignity. It is, after all, the
only thing I have left.......

I am oh-so very pleased to announce my
affiliation with Tucson, AZ based Funzalo
Records. Funzalo will be handling the
distribution, publishing and licensing of my
"stuff". The official release date is August 26,
2008. The CD will soon be available at over 60
digital download sites. Check out the their web
site at
www.funzalorecords.com for the skinny.
Additionally, Funzalo's strong ties to the
independent TV and film industry will be
instrumental (pun intended) in securing
placement of said "stuff" within the realm of the
visual media.

My most heartfelt thanks to Mike and Jen at
Funzalo for their kindness and consideration.
But most of all for their ability to foresee that
sometimes peculiar has it's place. This is
evident when regarding the present Funzalo
roster of artists... one of the most eclectic in
Indie-dom. And it's my extreme pleasure to be
associated with this group of mavericks.

Here's to a long and mutually beneficial
association...
Vids
On April 16th, 2009, friend and musical co-conspirator Keith Adams saw fit to throw off his mortal coil
and move on down the line. I have no doubt that, to a certain degree, this was exactly how Keith would
have wanted it. Just take his talent, his gallows humor, and his singularity, and quietly move along to
the next path.... He'll be missed by not only his family and friends, but also by the multitudes of those
who were not fortunate enough to have been within his generous reach.

Later Keith... And remember... play pretty,

L-

You can hit the little button to the left to go to a tribute page where I've posted a multitude of
recordings of Keith's songs. A few are the ones I was lucky enough to work on with him. But most are
from our other friends who populate the newsgroup where we all hang.
New Album Done... stick a fork in it

Just finishing up post-production on the new
release "Late Night Innuendo". It's a slight
departure from previous releases in that I've
stripped away much of my profane excesses,
and discovered a way to express my
"sensitive side".
*** NOT ***
Yes, you'll find a slew of acoustic
instrumentation scattered amongst most of
the material. And you will indeed find several
songs that are entirely acoustic. Don't get
your boxers in a bunch friends. Most of the
lyrics still reflect some reasonably vile and
reprehensible behaviour. There is, as is my
customary indulgence, much slide and lap
steel guitar playing.

All of my previous stuff has been removed
from the SONGS page. What you get in its
place are 6 songs from the new release.

... and what our local Phoenix music scene
will get is me making "one-man musical
mayhem" in the next few months. Where?
Well now you can go to the schedule to the
right and check it out.

Of particular note... I'll be doing my first gig
with a full band on January 31st @ The
Rhythm Room. Hah.... very cool, debuting at
The Rhythm Room. Does it get more
intimidating then that? Check the schedule for
how to get tickets
